You can make your home modern and classy, even if you’re tied up with your job and family. Because modernizing your home doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune or take an off from work. It’s about being creative while being simple. Here are four ideas that you can use to add that modern touch to your home...
1. Redo the Walls
If you want your home to have that modern look that you always wanted, then start with the walls. Your goal here is not to paint the walls just for the heck of it. No, the objective here is to brush on a color that invariably makes your room feel clean and calm. So colors like taupe, beige, creme or off-white make sense. Or if that becomes too simple for you, you can also use colors like lime or chocolate.
2. Work on the Lighting
A simple change to the room’s lighting can make a huge difference to the overall decor. After all, it’s the first thing you notice when you walk into a house. There are many ways you can work on the lighting to give your home a facelift. For example, you can hang a modern glass chandelier in the living room, which you can easily buy for under $200 and install yourself.
3. Add Style with Accent Pillows
There’s no doubt about the fact that colorful/trendy patterned pillows are amazing when it comes to add more style to your bed, couch or anyplace else. The best part about these pillows is that you can experiment with them as much as you want. For instance, if you want to try out a bold color for your room, you can easily get a couple of pillows from a nearby store (with a good return policy), and leave them in the space for a day. If you don’t like them, you can return them and start over!
4. Build a Linen Closet
Having a linen closet is great not only for big families, but also for small ones. In a way, it’s a necessity because having fresh sheets and towels on hand and keeping them well organized is important. Building a good linen closet is not rocket science. You can easily build one and accommodate all of your linens in one place. In case you’re looking out to buy linens, then a good place to start is Image Textile.
Even the smallest updates you make to your home can transform it and give it the look you want. The above ideas are quite simple and easy, and the results they give are astounding.

These are awesome tips!
i love classy things!
I don't know why it has never occurred to me to buy the throw pillows and take them home for a 15 min "test drive"..I always stand there and debate if they will work or not, what size, what shape, what color...it's endless...I finally give up and figure that I'll just recover some of the ones I already have...like that ever happens! :)
good advices
