15 reasons why I'm not a good blogger

Are you a "bad blogger"?! I'm pretty sure I am.
Here's my 15 reasons why I think I'm not a good blogger.
Can you relate?

  1. I hardly EVER post pictures of myself.  Like hardly EVER.

  2. I don't like mustaches.

  3. I really am not a fan of vintage dresses. Don't get me wrong, they're lovely but eh not for me.

  4. I don't do a lot of fashion/shopping/accessories. I love them. But I'm a stay at home mom so I hardly wear anything more than sweats.

  5. I've vlogged ONCE. It was a tutorial on how to curl your hair with a flat iron. You can watch it here

  6. I don't really do a lot of fashion posts. (See #1 and #4) You can find the ones I've done here. They're entertaining.

  7. I don't have a set blogging schedule. I just kind of post randomly. Except on Friday's. I post the 52 weeks of kindness posts.

  8. I stalk blogs but usually forget to comment on them. I swear I mean to but usually by then a kid needs me so I have to step away from you guys. Forgive me?! Please?!And when I DO comment, I leave NOVELS. I'm talking as long as the post I just commented on kind of comments. Oops.

  9. I get distracted. I've been writing this post for a good long time now and I'm nowhere near done but edit it EVERY STINKIN' TIME I click it.

  10. HTML gives me a headache and makes me super thankful for my friend, Sarah.

  11. I don't have a newsletter for my blog/self.

  12. I try to post real posts. My blog isn't just a link-up everyday or a giveaway every other day. Don't get me wrong, I love a good link-up and a good giveaway, but how about we throw in some real posts in between, K?!

  13. Not every post has a picture in it. Sometimes I just want to write/ramble and I usually think those end up being my best posts.  (example: Blarg and this one about marriage-it has some pics though)

  14.  I have NO idea what blog category I fit into. I'm not a fashion blogger but I post outfit pictures occasionally. I'm don't consider myself to be a mommy blogger even though I have kids and talk about them pretty often.  I'm not exactly sure what a lifestyle blogger is. I'm definitely not a foody blog but I do post recipes randomly (like this one for BLT wraps and this one for 7 layer salad and this one for buffalo chicken dip). I'm not a crafty/DIY blogger for sure.
I think I just like to ramble. I think I'm a "rambler" blogger. Is that such a thing? Can it be?

  15. I can't think of a 15. Oh wait, just did.
15 would be that I can't even land on a decent number. Seriously who wants to read, "14 reasons why I'm a bad blogger"  15 just sounds so much better.

And there you have it.
15 reasons why I'm not a good blogger.

I can relate to 14. I have no idea what blog type I am either. I like to share recipes, book reviews, inspiration, diy, photography & thoughts about life & such. I'm all over the place. But that just means we offer a little of everything. I don't want to be a blog that fits into one category. Can we say b-o-r-i-n-g? lol.

HTML also gives me a headache. And now that blogspot has changed how to change the codes & such, I probably won't get around to updating my blog layout in a very long time. Oy vey.

And beyond these "15" reasons, I enjoy your blog :)

Yup. This pretty much sums me and my blog up to the T.

I love your blog though. Raw and honest rambles are excellent in my book, so keep on keeping on:)

I feel the same way about myself. I love the last one, you are too funny but it's true.

I agree with you on most of thos epoints. I am a DIY blogger most of the time but then I throw mommy life and other randomness in there all the time. Your post made me feel better about that!

Thanks! :)

Hahahaha I'm a bad blogger too then! I don't know what category I fit into (if you do, let me know) and I read and get distracted on the commenting thing too!

We all have our own "WOW" factor. I know i can get true, honest, and heart felt posts from you and that's why I love you! And everything else mixed in? Added bonus :)

Glad to know there is someone else who blogs like me. I never post pictures of myself, (other than an update of my hair). I'm not a great cook so no food posts from me. I talk about my kids ... but they are big(ger) so not a toddler blogger. I don't do travel posts. I don't ... I don't ...

I blog about my life, random and all over the place. Hey that's me

love this, especially the one about mustaches. i don't like them either. and I posted about this yesterday as well, what the heck category am I in? no idea.

Okay, I'm totally in love with this post. I feel the same way about so many of those things.

I don't like a lot of the same things other bloggers do, but that's where I'm staying- true to me :)

I guess I'm a pretty bad blogger too, because I agree 100% with most of these and feel the same way. ;)

This! This is what my blog is--full of randomness. I don't, half of the time, know what I am doing. I need more "real" posts about what's going on in my life. *shrug*

I'm a new reader here, and this post totally makes me feel better about my blogging self!
I've been blogging for two years and still don't know what kind of blog I am. I like your idea of just being "random."

Keep it up!

This post is awesome and I'm a terrible blogger too! I never post pictures of myself because it feels awkward unless I have a purpose behind it (like showing off my new glasses), I don't do OOTD, and I'm not a mommy blogger even though I have kids, lol. I have seen so many posts on what to do to be a "good" blogger and I'm just like, "I don't have the time for that. I'm a mom!" And, what's the purpose of having a newsletter? If you want to share something, share it with everyone not just the select few who have signed up.

OMG, I think you just described me, haha!

I am so on board with 12. I don't like following a blog when all they do is post pictures for their link up. And if it's every, you lost me.

I am with you on 13 too. I want to have a picture for every post but I don't like using internet photos...leaves me in a bind.

I am also with you on 14. I am not really a fashion blogger cause I don't really post that many. I usually forget to snap a photo when I do. I am not a mom cause I have no kids. I think Rambler should be a new category.

Girl, I can relate to all of these. Sometimes I have to physically FORCE myself to do anything with the blog. And you're right--wtf is a "lifestyle" blogger? All I know is you rule!

Yup!
I think you hit the nail on the head.
I'm all of those too rolled into one cute package :0)

I guess I fall into this same camp. Never blogged, don't like posting pics of me - I mean who knows where they might end up - and I don't have a closet of vintage dresses.

Love the list of..15 things!

My personal blog has a lot of the same problems that you run into here. It is a lifestyle blog, I suppose...but I barely ever post pictures of myself even though it's a transformation blog. What sense does that make? and it takes me forever to write a post because I'm always writing a post for my design blog and my social media blog that I often let it just sit there and collect dust.

Bad blogger..here!

I fall victim to so many of these "bad" blogging things as well! But I think that your blog is wonderful anyway! So much more real that way!

I hate blogs that are just link up, link up, link up! Too bad everyone's not a bad blogger, too!

I don't post pictures either and thankfully I finally found a category I fit under....all of them. I do it all from fashion, to beauty, to businesses. Since I could not do one thing I just decided to blog about everything. Stopping over from #sitssharefest

i can relate to every single one of these! i would love to have a cute little blog with neat and clean pictures of my perfect little and colorful home full of DIY's projects but its just not me. my house is a mess most of the time because i have 3 big dogs in a tiny house, they run outside in the forest whenever they want to so they bring lot's of dirt inside AND I DONT CARE! i work at the barn part time so i'm not always in cute little fashion-ish outfits, my hair are not done perfectly everyday and i put on some makeup only once in a while. i love fashion, really, but i cant wear it most of the time. but its my life and i like it this way so i wont change only for a blog :)

I'm a bad blogger too!

But at the same time, I'm not. In the end, I feel that blogging should be about the enjoyment we get out of writing & sharing little tidbits of our lives with other people. Not giveaways and reviews of lavender-scented pantyliners (do they make those? Cos I'd be all over that!).

Keep up the good work; you have readers who love it! :)
