That time my kid turned 5

This title makes it sound so nonchalant, but really... it's a HUGE deal.

My baby.

My little tiny baby is FIVE years old.

One. Two. Three. Four. Five.

*sigh*

After I upload these pictures, I'm going to drown my mommy woes in a frosted honey bun.

Seriously, deciding to have his party at Chuck E. Cheese was a genius idea.
It was so nice to not have to worry about anything and just actually enjoy my sweet man's big day.
We didn't really invite anyone we knew other than the family. It was easier to keep it simple and just us.
Fin loved every minute of it.
Every ticket that was won went to buy him a prize. He ended up with 3,000 tickets!!

All in all, it was a fantastic day.

ps-I skipped the honey bun in case you were wondering.

Oh and today is actually his birthday.

The day. I like to get up and pretty and see what my day holds that way when it comes time to unwind, I've had a mini adventure and I'm ready to rest for the next one.

I'd keep my eyebrows for sure. People look too weird without them.

6. What do you want to be when you grow up?

Everything! Growing up I wanted to be a nurse, then a doctor, a pediatrician, a journalist, an english teach, you name it, I wanted it.
Now honestly, I'm happy being a mom.
Nothing makes me more frustrated or makes my heart melt more.
That's officially my grown up job.

7. Do you set your clocks right on time, or a few minutes ahead or behind?

Usually one 5 minutes before, on time and 5 minutes later.

Social Sunday

1. What is the first website you log on to each day?

My reader feed.

Then I'll open facebook.

Then twitter.

All depending on if I have facebook or twitter notifications on which I open first. Usually it's while I'm still laying in bed from my phone. Yay Iphone apps!

2. Give us some funny websites you visit that we need to know about

For funnies, I just browse Pinterest. You can find me here and my funny board here

Every now and then I'll read some rage comics from their app.

3. Pinterest or Facebook? Why?

Both. Neither.

I hardly have time to Pin much lately and facebook honestly kind of annoys me.

It's not facebook but some of the people on my facebook. I really need to do a mass clean up but don't want the drama that'd come of it or to really hurt anyone. (How sad that I know some people would get hardcore butthurt if I deleted them from FACEBOOK!)

4. Twitter or Instagram? Why?

Again, both.

I actually like Twitter and Instagram better than Facebook and Pinterest.

5. Favorite youtube video...post it!

My friend just showed me this. I died. I DIED! So funny!

What we've been up to.

Hey guys! I figured I'd actually pop in here and kinda update you guys on our mini Tennessee vacation.

So far we've

Decorated the park with leaves.

Taken park naps.

Gotten hair cuts.

Tried on hats

And more hats

And more hats.

Bought new glasses after leaving my last pair in the mall's family bathroom.

Went to the biggest forever 21 I've ever seen. (Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, Tn)

This was ONE corner of it.

Taken LOTS of baths. Much needed from all the outside dirtyiness that's gone on.

Grew some mustaches.

Baby O did too!

Played at the park!

Rode a tire swing

Same in the pool.

Swam some more.

We're having a grand time.
David and my little brother got in Friday morning.
Fin RAN to David to hug him.
Maddie ran to the pets! She missed them so much!

We also did a trip to the Zoo with Jenny G (my all time total BFF in the whole wide world) and her boys.
We've had lots of outdoor fun.
Lots of park fun.
Lots of SUNSHINE!
We even had a wicked thunderstorm. It was weird!
And we celebrated Fin's 5th birthday party at Chuck E cheese! He was THRILLED!! (His actual B.day isn't until the end of August but this was the best time so everyone could make it)

Oh and David and I made a trip to Georgia (Just us and the dog) to house hunt! WE HAVE A HOME!! Hooray!!!!

1) What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?

Actually put myself out there. I keep to myself more than I used to because I have a deep fear of getting hurt and screwed over. I've had too many encounters with crazy people that have done nothing but cause me grief and drama and some even made me question myself as a person. I hate that, but it's true. I think that's another reason I love my little blog so much... I feel like I CAN put myself out there and if you read along, great...if not, your choice... Ya know?!

2) If you had only six months left to live, what would you do with the time?

Spend everyday just doing fun stuff with the kids.

Park days, lake trips, just making them smile.

3) If a front page news article was written on you, what would the headline be?

She finally lost her shit.

4) What is your biggest pet peeve?

Judgmental people. With my random tattoos and piercings (past and present) I've always gotten those looks. You know what I'm talking about. Oh, maybe you don't?! Umm... the looks that are like "oh. wow. you look different. I'm going to veer the other way to try to avoid you but still break my neck to stare at you" looks. Or the "you're going straight to hell you heathen" looks.

I get them the most when I'm out with the kids.

Oh gosh and if it's one of those days... (moms, you know what I'm talking about here) that the kids are just extra hyper, those looks are a million times worse.

I get them even when the kids ARE behaving, like I shouldn't reproduce since I did such awful things to my body?! I don't know.

I have some family that does that. They kind of think they're better then you because they're not tattooed or pierced?! I don't know....I just don't understand people. I'm going to stop there before I rant and rave and ramble.
